I am a fiber artist with an eye for beauty. I look for it, I wonder about it, I feel it, and I explore unique ways to create it. The rich colors and textures of fabric bring joy to my senses and endless amusement at all the amazing ways they might be combined. Thanks to my independent spirit, I’ve adapted basic theory and skills into a powerful artistic voice that is all my own. Like singing and painting, my other passions, my art comes alive with all the depth and light of my heart.
I love to work with exotic batiks and hand dyed fabrics to create pieces generally between 2 and 4 feet “un-square.” Much of my work is designed to hang as dramatic wall art. Commissions and interior design assignments are welcome.
I am a musician with an ear for harmony. I compose music, arrange pieces for choral performance, I coach both aspiring and seasoned vocalists, and I round out my artistic life by making beautifully powerful music with the women’s a cappella group Sound Circle.
